![]() | Why book a Makeup Artist instead of a Beauty Therapist or Makeup Counter Consultant?Wedding makeup and hair is a specialist field as it incorporates aspects of photographic makeup. It is not just a finishing touch, but a lasting impression on your wedding photos and video. Many beauticians have little or no photographic makeup or hair knowledge (their experience lies in face and body treatments). Counter and party plan make-up consultants are experts in cosmetic sales but not necessarily makeup application. Where are you based and do you travel?I have a base in Yorkshire, am delighted to cover weddings both across the whole of the UK and internationally. What is airbrushing?Airbrushing foundation is fantastic. It makes your skin appear flawless and as the foundation is silicone based it stays all day rather than sinking in to your skin. Having used it on actresses who are filming all day long, it is tried and tested, staying perfect all day. You’ll love it. I’m sure! How long will my trial hair and makeup take?I allow 2 hours for your makeup and hair trial. Should any of your bridal party require a makeup and hair trial, please allow an hour for each person. How much will it cost and when do I pay for your service? The total cost will depend on how many people are being made up and if any extra travel expenses occur. These will all be calculated prior to your trial and a personalised quote sent to you. How can I make payment and can I break my payments down?Services for your wedding date can only be secured by, paying a deposit of £50. Payment for your trial is to be made on the day of your appointment, along with a 50% balance, and the remaining balance paid at least 2 weeks prior to your wedding. Taking into account your deposit and balance payment. I accept payment by cheque, cash or bank transfer. Mileage over 10 miles from YO30 (York) is 55p a mile. What happens if you or I cancel? In the extremely unlikely event that I am not able to make your wedding date due to illness or other emergency, I will substitute another equally experienced artist for you, who will have been briefed on your wedding makeup. If I am unable to find a replacement artist, I will provide a full refund. If you are cancelling a trial appointment, you will not incur any charges. If you are cancelling your wedding makeup, your deposit is none refundable. If you cancel your wedding make up three weeks before the wedding date, 75% of the total cost will be payable. Do you sell any of the make-up you use?No I don’t, however, I can advise you of where to get the products from. |
