2014 An Amazing Year

What an fabulous world wind 2014 has been and has been such a pleasure to have worked on so many fantastic TV and film projects and creating a variety of hair and makeup styles for our 2014 brides.

Started the year in Yorkshire on BBC drama “Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell“, working with some fantastic cast and crew, which I ended my journey in a fabulous place in Croatia.

The seven-part series stars Eddie Marsan (Best of Men, Ray Donovan, Filth) and Olivier award-winning Bertie Carvel (Restless, Hidden, Matilda) who take on the magical roles of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. Further casting includes Alice Englert (Ginger & Rosa, Beautiful Creatures), Marc Warren (Hustle, Mad Dogs, The Musketeers), Samuel West (Mr Selfridge, Fleming), and Charlotte Riley (Wuthering Heights, Easy Virtue).

Then straight into a great journey working on great war film “Testament of Youth“.  From one war I had the pleasure of joining the hair and makeup team on second world war film “Girls Night Out“, working on Hull, Derbyshire and Brussels.  We may have worked over a month of night shoots but what a ball we had creating a variety of 1940’s hair and makeup looks.

A fabulous summer was spent on the cobbles of Coronation Street at their new home at Media City in Manchester.

All about the brides, in between my filming adventures I have had the pleasure to meet and create some fabulous hair and makeup looks for Catherine Elizabeth Brides.

Thrilled to have been short listed for hair and makeup artist of the North East Wedding Awards

And to have been voted to been one of the Top 50 Makeup Artist’s in the UK, by

Rounding off the year joining the hair and makeup team for the film remake of “Dad’s Army“.  Which was an absolute honor to work with and along side some great cast and crew.

And my favorite thing of all of 2014 is our baby news!!!!

2014 has been one hell of a journey in many ways and I can not wait for the next chapter to start!
